Today we’re reviewing two of the new Creator 3-in-1 sets: Space Mining Mech and Safari Wildlife Treehouse. We were sent theses sets by LEGO but our view is unbiased and we aim to provide a unique review from the perspective of a MOC builder and fan of building techniques. We score sets out of 100, giving 20 points each for a variety of factors.
The 3-in-1 sets are always interesting to look at, as they often feature ingenious part uses in the alternate builds, where the designers creativity is pushed to the max. This was definitely the case for the Treehouse that featured diverse alternate builds, as well as excellent animals and attention to detail throughout the models. The mining mech didn't impress us as much, and well it was a solid design with some fun features and part uses, overall was fairly generic. Our favourite parts would be the alternate build that creates a rover for the alien, and the alien side builds.
