Today we're reviewing the San Francisco skyline set! We were sent this by LEGO but our view is unbiased and we aim to provide a unique review from the perspective of a MOC builder and fan of building techniques. We score sets out of 100, giving 20 points each for a variety of factors.
We're huge fans of the Architecture line and the Skyline sets, and San Francisco does not disappoint in a lot of aspects. It includes lots of famous landmarks from the iconic Golden Gate bridge to even the 'Painted Ladies'. The designer's took an interesting approach for the bridge, making one tower significantly taller than the other despite them being the same height in real life. This gives the architectural feature a forced perspective that we really love, but might not be as loved by everyone. Overall though, the combination of fun techniques, iconic landmarks and final display value means we would definitely recommend this set.
