Today we’re reviewing Trafalgar Square, one of the larger sets in the Architecture line. We were sent this set by LEGO but our view is unbiased and we aim to provide a unique review from the perspective of a MOC builder and fan of building techniques. We scored this set out of 100, giving 20 points each for a variety of factors.
This set recreates one of London’s landmarks in a miniature scale. It does a surprisingly great job at mimicking the design of the plaza with the pieces used. The symmetry of the build is quite satisfying, although creating the main building can get a little repetitive (but the technique for achieving it is very creative!). This set highlights sandwiching pieces and capturing them with SNOT bricks to achieve textures that normally wouldn’t be possible with traditional bricks. The price per part is also quite fantastic, especially for having several rare pieces and numerous tiles.
