Land ho! Today’s technique post explores the possibilities of making a palm tree from everyone’s favourite malleable LEGO piece, the flex tube! Two builders in three builds explore some of the options that exist for making natural and detailed palm trees.
Using the flex tube, each tree is bent over much like many of their real life counterparts. Each trunk is made of stacked parts, whether hollow 1x1 round plates, Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi crowns, or recently-released cake topper pieces. These builders show that, with a few types of reddish brown parts, a flex tube, and some fronds, you can make an extremely convincing palm tree!
