Did you know that stickers have changed quite a bit since the 1990s; they used to be printed on clear plastic and were much higher quality.
Fans of the brick often complain about stickers; they are hard to apply, and can peal and show wear off over time. Although they add detail to certain pieces, printed parts are much better, so why is it that LEGO keep making stickers?
The main reason is probably cost, but no one can say for sure as even cheaper sets from Junior lines have printed parts. And it is confusing as to why LEGO changed their stickers back in the 1990s as before they were much better quality, and sets back then that had those stickers are still in good condition.
