There are 70 stickers in this set. These 70 stickers work out to 1 sticker per 88 parts, which is a much better ration than in Monkie Kid’s recent Megapolis set of 33 parts per sticker! We respect LEGO using stickers to keep costs low. However, AFOLs with hand limitations or arthritis may find sticker alignment challenging (as we did). Ninjago sets use a unique script system called “logograms.” Bricklink provides translations for these logograms, such as this missing goat poster. Image includes three sets of sticker sheets which include the sticker of a poster for a missing goat.

Minfigures: There are a total of 21 mini figures, 13 of which are named Ninjago characters. Cyrus no longer uses his robotic legs. His robotic legs were turned evil by the Digital Overlord in Season 3 of the series. He appears here for the first time in a wheelchair. These are a list of characters in this set: Urban Arin, Camille, Cyrus Borg, Dareth, Gayle Gossip, Blacksmith Kai, Hounddog McBrag, Lloyd, Miss Demeanor, Nya, Sora, Vinny, Folson, and Detective Zane. The following new items were new as of the June 2023 wave. Here is a description of the new and rare parts: Urban Arin has black hair, a new head, a new yellow-orange printed torso, and new black printed legs. Camille has new purple hair, new purple printed torso, and new printed purple legs. Cyrus Borg has black hair, a new head with glasses, new grey suit torso, and black legs. Blacksmith Kai has black hair with red headband, a rare head, a rare overalls torso, and rare printed legs. Hounddog McBrag has brown hair, a new head with mustache, a new suit coat torso, and dark blue legs. Lloyd has new green head wrap, a new head with glowing green eyes, a new printed green torso, and new printed green legs. Miss Demeanor has a red mohawk, a new head with red glasses, a new printed torso with red hands, and new printed dark bluish grey legs. Detective Zane is monochromatic. He wears a grey fedora which is a new recolor, a new grey head, a new grey torso suit, and grey legs.

Minifigures: There are a total of 21 mini figures, 8 of which are nameless Ninjago citizens who run the various shops. All 21 minifigs flesh out the markets nicely. There are both vendors and Ninjago characters, including the exclusive appearance of Chamille and the new release of Detective Zane! This set scores 5 out of 5 for Minifigures. Following are the nameless Ninjago citizens: Baker, Boat Vendor, Borg Store Employee, Dojo Kid, Street Vendor, Sushimi Chef, Tea Vendor, Racer Seven. Following is a description of each of these figs: Baker wears a rare chefs hat with hair, a dual-sided female head, a white chef torso and tan legs. Features:

Image shows an interior section of several shops in the set, showing how they remove and stack. This is a quote from LEGO.com: “4 floors of fun – The model is crammed with shops, restaurants, offices and apartments, including a bakery, a blacksmith’s, a general store, the Borg store, a karaoke club and a rooftop food court.”

Each market window features flower boxes unique to that room.

And the cable car moves!

This set includes removable levels and panels for easy access! Video shows a panel being removed. Image shows different layers and individual market stalls.

Value for Money: Not only is this a fabulous set, the price per part ratio is cheaper than all previous Ninjago City builds! Let’s compare the following sets: Ninjago City Markets (set 71799) was sold from 2023 until now. The average price is 5.2 pence or 6.0 cents per part Ninjago City (set 70620) was sold from 2017 until 2019. The average price is 5.3 pence or 6.2 cents per part. Ninjago City Docks (set 70657) 2018-2019 5.6p / 6.5c / 6.5c Ninjago City Gardens (71741) was sold from 2021 until now. The average price is 5.3 pence or 6.2 pence per part. Between the excellent price per part ratio and the inherent resale value that the Ninjago City sets have shown, the Ninjago Markets are absolutely a worthwhile purchase. This set scored 5 out of 5 for Value for Money

Display Value: The following is a suggestion for how to display Ninjago Markets with the other Ninjago City sets. Remove the back roof panel to fit sections seamlessly together. Image shows a picture of the four city sets going in order of set 70620, 71799, 70657, and 71741. Those sets are: the original Ninjago City, the recent Ninjago Markets, the retired Ninjago Docks, and the popular Ninjago Gardens. Ninjago City Markets covers two full baseplates, creating quite the impressive display. Whether by itself or as part of the larger Ninjago City, this set doesn’t disappoint! Display value is 5 out of 5.
