#2406 TECHNIQUE ANALYSIS: TEMPLE OF HUO SHENG by @drdoddoTopic A true LEGO Master, the builder @drdoddo has built this stunning piece as his entry to Brickscalibur! Join us as we try to find all the little fascinating details. It includes a little pagoda on a body of water. To the left side is a little island with a big tree on top of it. Both the temple and the tree are linked with multiple stones in the water.

Let’s start by looking at the pagoda. The roof gets its unique shape from layered plates and wedge pieces (54200). The rocky platform the temple sits upon uses a mix of SNOT-techniques. Used pieces are 22385, 27263 and 50950.

All around the main temple you can find fun ornate details! Here are some of our favourites: There’s a cool table build using these pieces: X2 11203, X2 99563 and X4 90540 15 times the ball piece 20953 gets used an ornament piece. And on the roof sits a gold and white spike which uses the banana piece in gold and looks impressive.

90398 the microfigure piece and the leafe piece 2423 in dark red get combined to create interesting water plants, that sit on the waters surface. The water surface is created by sideways building a wall with bricks. By using the vibrant coloured plates in the centre, the interesting pattern gets created. The stepping stones use 2654, 4032 and 15535 (All round pieces) and get attached to modified bricks in the “water walls” side.

The Big tree uses a lot of slope pieces to construct the main trunk. The round bricks 65473 are used for the branches ending in stunning purple leave pieces with white blossoms. Finally tail pieces are used for the roots and flexible pieces like 27965 are wrapped around the tree to give it a more organic look.
