#2431 THEME TRIBUTE: The Powerpuff Girls (2018 to 2019). Saving the world before bedtime, the LEGO Powerpuff Girls! Though short-lived with only one wave, this theme brought us fantastic new head molds and two playful sets. These are all of the ingredients these MOC builders needed to create everything nice in this post. Swipe for sugar, spice, and everything LEGO Powerpuff Girls!

About LEGO Powerpuff Girls. Iconic parts include the 1 by 2 phone tile pieces parts 3069pb0673 and 3069pb0674, Octi part ppg003, the sticker for 4x4 tile with studs on edge part 6179pb180, and the yellow gorilla first part 11092. The theme’s color scheme is dark pink, medium azure, bright green, and yellow. Fun facts are that the Number of sets is 2 plus 2 Dimensions Packs. Also, this theme contains the only minifigure scale sets from Cartoon Network. Characters include Princess Morbucks (in her yellow mech), Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, and Mojo Jojo.

The Powerpuff Girls are known for fighting crime, which is mainly carried out through the nefarious acts of Mojo Jojo! @dan.ko56 creates this expert construction of Bubbles rising above Mojo Jojo, ready to attack! The part usage is nothing short of exceptional. Nice part use includes giant hands parts 10126 and 10127 for Mojo Jojo’s eyes and the mountain bike helmet part 11092 for Mojo Jojo’s mouth. The bike helmet is held in place with a rubber band.

The Powerpuff Girls fly through the sky with their signature blasts, shown in these two MOCs with trans-colored 1x2 bricks. We love the NPU with the girls’ feet in the first MOC by monsterbrick on Flickr that uses helmet part 2446, and the forced perspective in the city by Cynde Rothenburger from @Denver_lug that has the buildings shrink as they move backward, creating an optical illusion and cinematic scene.

Madoruk on Flickr also creates a build with the girls rising with their blasts. In this MOC, the blasts are incorporated into the background wall of the girls shooting up. This is an iconic image of the Powerpuff Girls ready to save the day! madoruk on Flickr is clearly a fan of Cartoon Network! This Samurai Jack MOC below is also absolutely epic, which has a brickbuilt Samurai Jack in front of his arch nemesis Aku.

This slide is all about HIM, the androgynous, flamboyant demon, and the most threatening villain of The Powerpuff Girls. These MOC builders create HIM in two different styles, minifigure and brick-built! In the first MOC by @whatkindofbrickeryisthis, shaping on HIM’s fabulous outfit is achieved with clever part usage like bucket handles and clouds. In the second MOC by @stuntmanbrick, various minifigure parts such as Red Skull’s head, Fly Monster’s claws, and Santa’s torso create an impressively accurate and purist figure!

The Powerpuff Girls’ house stands out in their neighborhood with its contemporary style. Seasons 1-4 of the original series presents the house in cubed sections with round windows. @the.modmom faithfully recreates using the old 1x8 arch! The old arch is rounded, creating a perfect circle with an inverted arch.

These three MOCs display the girls’ house and the city of Townsville in microscale! The first by @darkbrick6085 is an adorable box with 1x1 black tiles as the upper story windows. The second by @brick_mommy includes the whole city, including the mayor’s capitol building and Mojo Jojo’s lair. The third by u/moofiee on Reddit has 1 brick high Powerpuff Girls that are adorable! Bubbles’ hair uses the 1x1 star part 11609.

This slide is all about Star Wars! This themed podracer MOC by MCLegoboy ! on Flickr is fit for a kitten, cleverly incorporating Blossom’s bow using slopes and clips! @aro62 creates a charming scene with the Powerpuff Girl heads on Stormtrooper bodies. “Blossom, we’re gonna have company!” says Bubbles. These are the Star Wars X Powerpuff Girls crossover builds we didn’t know we needed!
