From action scenes to dilapidated buildings, smashed windows are a great technique to incorporate in your next build!

#2449 Technique Discussion: Smashed Windows From action scenes to dilapidated buildings, smashed windows are a great technique to incorporate in your next build! Image of @abrickdreamer’s MOC of Ahsoka smashing through a maroon window. Glass shards are flying out and the outline of the window is left.

Star Wars naturally has a lot of action scenes so broken windows really showcase the movement of a scene. Image of Ty Stephany from Flickr’s MOC of Palpatine force lightning Mace Windu from Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. The window of his office is broken. Images of @kevfett2011’s MOC from Mandalorian Season 3 where the Mandalorian investigates a Super Battle Droid that crashed through a window and a MOC from Kenobi where the titular character holds back a window that is about to break, thus flooding the hallway with Leia and him in it. While not broken yet, the cracks are created using these pieces. Part 3069, Tile 1 x 2, Trans-Clear Part 3023, Plate 1 x 2, Trans-Clear Part 4740, Dish 2 x 2 Inverted (Radar), Trans-Clear

When creating broken windows, include the shards exploding out and subsequently landing on the ground and the remaining outline of the window like this one of Ahsoka breaking through. Image of @abrickdreamer’s MOC of Ahsoka smashing through a maroon window. Glass shards are flying out and the outline of the window is left. A combination of Trans-Clear pieces make up the window shattering. Part 65578, Bar 1L with Angled Hollow Stud, Trans-Clear Part 4070, Brick, Modified 1 x 1 with Headlight, Trans-Clear Part 3065, Brick 1 x 2 without Bottom Tube, Trans-Clear Part 54200, Slope 30 1 x 1 x 2/3, Trans-Clear

This MOC shows the not often talked about aftermath of who cleans up the city after it is saved. Image of @larry_builds MOC of the Avengers, Black Widow, Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Bruce Banner, and Hawkeye, enjoying shawarma in a café. The windows are broken. The space between the window and the doorframe is not filled in to show the effect of the post-fight carnage. Close up of the window and door frame and a breakdown of how it is built using transparent pieces.

There are plenty of smashed windows in this hurricane MOC! Can you spot them all? Image of Blake Baer from Flickr’s MOC of a hurricane. A downed telephone pole has crashed through the center of a house with smashed windows. The trees blowing in the wind and the crash of the waves show the strength of the storm!

In between selling papes, this newsboy broke a window with his slingshot! Image of @insomnia_builds MOC of the newsboy from the CMF series who has broken a window with his slingshot. This window is built with SNOT bricks. Close up of how it is built using SNOT bricks and tiles.

The walls are built sideways which allow for the cheese slopes to be at different angles. Image of Ádám Monostori from Flickr’s MOC of a werewolf minifig breaking out of a window of a medieval building with a cart below being pulled by a cow.

Finally, while not a window, this impressive build shows Mewtwo’s escape from the lab with the glass of his test-tube flying everywhere!

Video of @zanebuilds ‘ Mewtwo from Pokemon slowly levitating over broken glass as it rotates around.

Part 30292, Flag 7 x 3 with Bar Handle, Trans-Light Blue

Part 60616, Door 1 x 4 x 6 with Stud Handle, Trans-Light Blue

The player in retro bowl serves as both the general manager and the controller of the group's violation. Along with many other things, the game includes aspects of running an American football team, like trading and cutting players, approving free agents, keeping players happy, and much more.
