Tile, Round 1 x 1, white, yellow house printed, x1. Tile, Round 1 x 1, white, orange suitcase printed, x10. Tile, Round 1 x 1, white, blue camera printed, x10. SCORE: 5 out of 5 part selection. The new printed tiles and prints for the plane are appreciated, and the new trans-clear slope has some great MOC potential, but the majority of the parts are quite common and not impressive for the set’s scale.

Building Experience: This set’s building experience is quite unique, as the set is specifically intended to be built by a group of people, up to five family members or friends. Five instructions booklets and brick separators are included, so everyone can build the set at once. However, the map build is quite simple, and is very repetitive if being built by one person – you’re effectively repeating the same build four times!

Techniques: The wings attach using swivel hinge plates (2429c01), with 1x2 round tiles (1126) to support the hinge. Hidden inside the platform, you’ll find a few travel-related accessories: a camera, suitcase, compass and globe! The front of the plane uses a SNOT bracket (44728) to create the pointed shape.

Techniques: The map is built in four quarters, using Dark Blue plates for ocean and different frames built from Technic bricks and plates. Wedge plates and bricks are used to create the curved shape and give the map a black frame. Each map frame uses a different colour for plates for a unique colour code, making it easier to put together the final map.

Techniques: These modified tiles allow you to hold photos or pieces of paper, to add a personal touch to the set’s design. Plates, tiles and wedges are used to create the different continents on the map. SCORE: 2 out of 5 techniques. There’s a variety of techniques but nothing particularly unique or advanced outside of the plane’s wing build. The techniques for the map are fairly common and end up repeated for each quarter.

Accuracy: The set is based on the winning build from LEGO Masters USA Season 4, created by Christopher Lee (Duckbricks on YouTube) and Robert Zhang. The ‘World Wonder Liner’ text on the side of the plane has been captured well, but not the ‘ZZZ’. It could have been interesting to see a smaller scale of this original design. The three builds on the original plane have been removed, replaced with small vehicles and the map.

Accuracy: The set’s map captures most of the countries on the world map, but the scale isn’t fully accurate. The ocean between continents are smaller than they should be – the set isn’t big enough to capture the details accurately. The colours for each country are mostly accurate to a world map, with a few exceptions. SCORE: 2 out of 5 accuracy. The plane and the text has been adapted into the new set, with a lot of details being left out. The map is a new addition for this set, and while most of the map is represented, it can only be so accurate at this scale.

Display Value: The plane and vehicles go on the map, with photos at the back. The printed tiles can be placed on the map to places you have connections with. The display works fine but feels empty. The set takes up a lot of space, and the stands look very strange if there are no photos. The map can also be display on a wall, with the photo stands and vehicles removed. This works a bit better and turns the size into a strength, which gives it a slightly better display value score. SCORE: 3 out of 5 display value.

Value for Money: The set has a price per part ratio of $0.12 per part, which is more expensive than the average set. Considering the lack of variety in parts and how empty the final display feels, the price feels far too expensive for the build you’re actually getting. SCORE: 2 out of 5 value for money.
