#2503 MOC of the Week: Haunted AT-ST

Long ago in a ghostly galaxy, far far away… builder @farawaybricks brings us their version of a Haunted AT-ST. So strap yourself in for a spooky surprise as we look at this Jack-o-Lantern inspired haunted walker.

Prepare for the Empire to deliver a spooky surprise! Image shows an AT-ST walker re-imagined with an orange jack-o-lantern head, along with reddish-brown and black legs covered in vines and leaves. Out front marches a mash-up of a Storm Trooper and Grim Reaper.

Featured Builder: @farawaybricks

From @farawaybricks: “This one was a very quick and very fun design! The core objective here was to build it around a light brick.” We agree - the light brick creates a spooky effect! Image shows the AT-ST in a dark room, with glowing orange eyes.

@farawaybricks said a lack of reddish-brown parts inspired the transition from brown to black, selling the spooky look even more. Leaves and vines show a natural aesthetic. Black whips and grills highlight the AT-ST’s mechanical side. Image shows a close-up of the AT-ST’s legs.

From @farawaybricks: “I always maintain that having parts and color limitations often leads to solutions that are more appealing than the original intended product!” The orange ingot on the sides come from a 2016 mixel! Finger hinges lock in the legs. Image shows a full view of the AT-ST, along with a tiny orange mixel.

With tattered cape and menacing scythe, @farawaybricks brings us the scariest soldier yet: The Grim Trooper! The cape was worn by Ninjago Blizzard Sword Master (86038). The Ninjago curved blade (37341) makes a scary scythe. And the Jack-o-lantern head is from Scooby-Doo! (75901).

The pumpkin stem sells the jack-o-lantern look. Angled orange wedge plates make the AT-ST seem angrily ready to haunt your nightmares. Behold: the Empire’s spooookiest weapon! Image shows the full AT-ST with Grim Trooper.
