#2680 SET REVIEW: 40506 LEGO Fabuland Tribute

šŸ  The sixth LEGO House set has arrived! This colorful homage to the Fabuland theme is full of character and boasts some surprisingly complex techniques too.

šŸŸ¢ PART SELECTION: Though it doesnā€™t feature new moulds or recolours, this will be satisfying to fans unable to get to the LEGO House and purchase this set. The stickerā€™s graphic design is amazing, and there are some rare parts and plenty of SNOT ones too! Score: 2ļøāƒ£

šŸŸ¢ TECHNIQUES: The base is strong and uses slopes to create smooth curves. While the tree uses simple stacking techniques, the characters are where the techniques shine! āœØ Stud inversions abound, while jumpers and offset plates pack detail into tiny packages. Score: 4ļøāƒ£

šŸŸ¢ BUILDING EXPERIENCE: This set is a love letter to Fabuland šŸ’Œ The character bodies are repetitive, but multiple instructions let many builders work together to complete the set, while an illustrated story accompanies the set. Score: 4ļøāƒ£

šŸŸ¢ DISPLAY VALUE: The base is bright and large, and the characters can be posed! You can make them bow, give them their own accessories, and use the bases to display original Fabuland characters too. This is a display piece that LEGO fans will be proud to show off! Score: 5ļøāƒ£

šŸŸ¢ VALUE FOR MONEY: It is difficult to assess a LEGO House setā€™s value, since theyā€™re difficult to purchase and therefore should hold resale value. This set is similar in size to the Jazz Quartet, and has a pretty reasonable price-per-part of about $0.08. The instructions also add value, as the illustrated story and designer insight are awesome to have! Score: 4ļøāƒ£
