#466 TECHNIQUES: Roof shingles technique

Today's technique is by Kloou. on Flickr and can be used to create roof shingles in a conical shape. He used it for his Rapunzel's Tower MOC, and you can find pictures of that build using this link: https://www.flickr.com/photos/jerome-kloou/29345197042/in/album-72157672372388231/

The roof itself looks stunning, but the technique behind it is pretty simple. 2 main parts are used; 2x2 square flags and flexible tubes. The tubes are curved into shape and held in place by clips, and then the flags just attach. Simple!

Flex tubes come in a range of sizes, so to create the conical shape, shorter lengths are used as you go higher with the cone.

Thanks to Klouu. for sending my the breakdown picture and suggesting this for a post; if you have a technique you'd like me to share just drop this page a message or email contact.tipsandbricks@gmail.com
