We've shared a range of wave and water technique on this blog, but this has got to be my favourite. The technique/MOC in question recreates the famous artwork 'Great wave off Kanagawa' by Hokusai, and has been built by koffiemoc; check out the MOC on Flickr here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/koffiemoc/46851249031/in/dateposted/
What catches your eye straight away is not the glorious colour combination, but the clips koffiemoc uses to create a stunning texture of the bubbling wave. The effect is incredible and other white bricks blending into the rest of the wave add to this. As well as these details, the whole shaping of the waves looks very natural, thanks to the various slopes used.
