#599 TECHNIQUES: Cheese slope mosaics by Katie Walker

Ah cheese slopes - unique and incredibly useful pieces that probably feature in more MOCs than any other. Their most popular use or at least their most elaborate are mosaics, as their small size and unique shape means multiple can be positioned sideways to create a variety of patterns.

Firstly there's the regular placement, where the slopes are arranged in neat rows. These are fairly simple to create but will still take a lot of time and trial and error to get to line up properly.

However, things can get much more intricate and complicated when the slopes are positioned at different angles. Almost any kind of mosaic is possible, and with the range of colours that cheese slopes come in, it's not a matter of if you can make it but if you'll have the time to make it!
